A different technician came out yesterday to do the work. When he came he told me that my toilet was old. I told him I had bought it 3 years ago (I bought the house exactly 7 years ago so I remember when I got the toilet installed and would have no reason to lie about when I bought it) He kept insisting it was old so I thought is he going to try to make me get more work done.
Sure enough he comes out of the bathroom and says do you have another toilet because I scratched your toilet so now you’ll either have to buy a replacement and we will install it or we will sell you one and install it.
I was shocked because why would I have to buy a new toilet for a scratch that he did?
He repeated it again and then showed me the scratch. I asked if it was cosmetic or did it affect the toilet. He said it was cosmetic. I told him to just leave it. He told me he would give me a discount because of it which he conveniently forgot about it until I asked him after he told me the price when I was paying. He did give me a discount once I reminded him.
It’s just frustrating because as a female you worry that you’ll get scammed.
I even said to him well that’s unfortunate that you think it’s an old toilet because either the company that installed it scammed me or he’s scamming me.
I’ve attached the scratch that he did and wanted me to replace my whole toilet for.
Jimmy was very polite and personable, knowledgeable and extremely through. He answered any and all questions I had. He took the time to ensure we were happy with our service. He is an extremely dedicated technician.
